He put up a research and development team which will help him find a cure for dyslexia and other types of learning disabilities. A big part of his research was Harold Levinson, an American psychiatrist who viewed dyslexia as a disorder caused by a fault in the cerebellum. It is a part of the brain that controls balance and movement of the muscles. For dyslexic patients to improve significantly, the neural pathways in the brain should be rewired and it can be done by stimulating the cerebellum. Eventually, the Dore Programme was born.

The Dore Programme is an exercise-based treatment approach for dyslexia and neurodevelopmental disorders alike. The exercise stimulated the cerebellum. The exercise consists of balancing, eye focus and coordination, and reciting time’s table while hopping, to name a few. The length of the exercise ranges between five to ten minutes, which should be done two times a day. The program could range from months to more than a year. It primarily depends on the patient’s initial assessment.
